Headliner Replacement

Ok guys,

I'm looking to replace the headliner in my Focus. I want something a bit darker seen as I plan to paint the interior trim. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to find headliners at? Anything would be appreciated.

Also, what sand paper would you recommend for prepairing the interior trim for paint?

Thanks.

I want to replace my headliner too. My car was smoked in before it was mine and it stinks and is marked up. All I need is a new stock headliner. I've had no luck with eBay or anywhere else.

you could always go CF if you have roughy $700 to blow.. lol

just pull it out, steam clean it, and then paint it using the how-to in the how-to section.

best and cheapest way is to re-upholster it yourself. its not that hard. some 3m spray glue and fabric of your choice accompanied with some patience will net great results.

So are you just saying put the new fabric in place of the existing headliner? Or putting it on top the stock headliner.

If I can find a replacement for mine I'll sell you the one I've got for cheap. Seen as I won't be needing it anymore. What color is in your car now?

using the 3m adhesive spray and gluing it on top of your current headliner.

I am familiar with reupholstering the headliner but how will that solve the smoke odor problem? I am pretty sure the smoke smell is strong enough that it will surely seep through.

^^ If you steam clean the headliner you could probably get a lot of that smell out.
