Inside of Focus Roof

I am going to be installing a CB in my 2000 Ford Focus Sedan and I was planning on mounting the unit to the headliner. To do this I need to have something that can structurally support the weight of the CB unit, so I need to either drill into an existing roof support bracket or fabricate a bracket to make it work.

So what I am wondering is anyone has a picture of the inside of a 00-04 Focus Sedan roof with the headliner removed, so I can see what I have to work with. I would prefer to do research on this before removing the headliner.

Thanks,

- Mike

hey there, mike...... I have a sedan that has a CB in the roof (or the hole for it) but I covered it up with a shark fin thing (may replace with GPS module, like the bimmer thingys)

I still have some pics from before the install of that thing, so lemme see if I can't get them up here....

Mike

Its going to be mounted on the left front fender near the windshield. I have an auto tranny so I have a plastic cover over where the clutch pedal would go, so I'm going to route the coax cable from the antenna thru that cover. I have already routed the power cable from my amplifer thru this and it allows me to drill as little holes as possible in the car.

I appreciate your effort to find the pictures, but I need to see what the inside of the roof looks like, haha. Anyone else who has access to pictures of the inside of a 00-04 Focus roof would do me a tremendous favor by posting them up here

Thanks,

Mike

Yeah, well its definatley odd to have a CB in a Focus

I use the car for commuting mainly, as well as hanging out with friends. I commute about 20 miles to Ann Arbor, MI almost every day and I have found that previous temporary setups have been very helpful in figuring out traffic situations. Also, the entertainment value of some of the conversations on the CB channels is priceless
