power windows question

if i get the wiring harrness, the power switches, the window motor, and frames. what would i have to do to wire this up?

just buy a universal PW kit, thats what I have. You can get them from AutoLoc

yes its a pw (power window) kit should come with everything u need along with the instructions on how to do it (if u don't fill like paying a auto shop)

yup, its simple, you can even get ones that bolt up to your factory rollup/manual windows gear, pretty good quality stuff that you can do yourself in a few hours

Yeah, or you could do it the right way.

Call up mike, order the FACTORY window switches and FACTORY power window motor/frame assembly, and then email me. I will walk you through the whole thing. Maybe I should get around to writing my how to on power window install.

No, not really. I dont think I spent over $300. That includes frames/motors, switches, and the plastic panel that goes around the door handle (inside the car of course). Plus the fact that it uses all new parts, and it looks so much better than the universal switches.

I dont know anyone that will argue that "universal" stuff is ever better than parts specifically designed for that car. Not saying universal kits dont work, just that the factory stuff is better both in form and function.

I looked at doing universal for a while, but found out that doing it with ford parts really wasnt that much more than a universal kit was.
