gauge cluster removal help please

hey guys im trying to remove my gauge cluster to install a new faceplate.i got everuthing unbolted and such bit can not disconnct the wiring harness for the life of me iv fought with it for 3 hours...how the hell do you disconnect it !!!!!!!!

I usually rotate the top of the cluster down towards the back of the car. This will bring the connector around to the top. Thin hands help at this point. You will have to swing the black "saddle" that holds the plug into the cluster up and over the plug. Then the plug will just slide out.
