How do I remove the center cousole

How do I Remove the center console thing. Dont know what it is called but it is the paneling around the shift knob. I want to change my shifter but need to remove that first! HELP!!!


It's the part to the left of the picture right around the shift knob

so ur talking about the entire center council?? its not hard. there are 2 screws underneath the cup holders, and one under the rear cup holder for the back seat. if you have a center arm rest in the council, you will have to pop of the panel above the rear cup holder and pop off two more screws. after that, it should slip off very easy.

Yeah, that "piece" on the left doesn't come off by itself, you need to pull the whole center console. Pretty easy. If you have the armrest you need to remove the obvious access panel, and if I recall the armrest bracket is held in by 3 8mm nuts...

Pull the e-brake up all the way also. It should give a little more wiggle room.

Yah it took me a while to get it off and around the shift knob and e-brake. But i finnally got it! Thanks for the help guys!!
