removing SVT front seats...

Looked thru the archives but could not find anything....

I need to pull my front seats so I can yank the carpet out so I can start my ICE install (full get up nothing will be left stock) I started to pull the passenger seat but i saw the plugs there for airbags and got scared...Anyone have the procedure on how to get it out? How do you unplug it too I couldnt really find the release tab on it....Thanks!!

You have to remove all the little covers at the corners of the seats to get to the bolts. Those bolts are I think a big torx bit. Then under the seats there is an electrical connection for heated seats, seat belts. There is a small bolt that holds that in place 8mm I think and the you just have to be easy getting them out the door.

Hope this helps.

You were right to get scared if you didn't have the battery disconnected. Detach the ground cable from the battery, wait at least five minutes, and you should be OK.

Remove plastic covers in corners, use a torx (t-50) to remove the bolts. Lean the seat back slightly and slide the clip out. You can undo the battery before OR after doesn't matter. Either way will stop the light from being there.

Is it the same for a 2000 ZX3? How do I detatch the ground cable?

under the hood on the battery.

Once the key is off and you disconnect it, the light will go on, it will also go off once you plug it back in.
