Need To Know How To Stock Finish

Its The Center Dash That Holds The Readio, Air Controls. Well The Panel Is Slowly Thinning The Paint To Scatch Off. I Would Like To Take The Silver Finish That Came With The Car Off. I Dont Know If Its Possible Or If It Will Look Messy. If It Is Possible What Can Remove The Silver Finsh.

taking it off is easy. Just like they said sand it down and you can paint it any color you want. If you want it black, paint it black. If you wanna color match your car, a lot of auto shops have books that will match up your car color with the correct spray color. Pep Boys is where i went to color match.

just make sure anytime you paint that you use primer, a high grain count sand paper and i suggest clear coating to to avoid chipping.

I dont know of any weak points on that panel, but i will warn you about paint runs. If you havent spray painted before practice on some cardboard to get a good even spray. Cuz once you get a run then you have to try to sand down to smooth again, and its a royal pain in the ass.

good luck and welcome to the site!
