Stereo Paint Chipping Problem

I have this problem with my stereo face. I was wondering if any one else had this problem.

I would just replace the stereo except I like my mp3 and steering controls way too much. Is there a way to remedy this or no?

*I will post pics soon as photobucket isn't cooperating.

you shouldn't need to replace your stereo just over paint... you can just paint it

Close up

full shot

When lit up

as you can see the chipping is noticeable. I just have no idea what to do. If I paint it I will lose the directions on whats what and i am considering it.

Anyone else have this problem?

have you looked on Ebay for a new factory? Also if you do an after market one they do make a part to integrate the SW controls with the new radio.

Glad I know that now they have that part. Being that when the car was new 3 years ago they didn't have one where I went around asking. Tnx
