my lil project...now completed

went to the local junkyard and pulled it off a wrecked contour. ive been wantin one of these valve covers for awhile now. im in the process of cleanin it up and takin the dremel and removing the pitted areas on it and makin it smooth for primer. i plan on paintin it blue and leavin the text polished. ive seen these covers go for over 200 bux powdercoated and i paid like 15 bux at the yard for it!! then another 10-15 bux for paint. so 30 dollars for a sweet ass valve cover aint bad! looks a lot better than the stock cover also.

Great find. Lucky dog. I would powder coat it though if I were you. Just save, you'll be so much happier with it.

well i finally finished the valve cover. lol. i splurged and got the upgrade kit from massive. kinda expensive, but im happy with it. took a couple pics of it on the fofo...

before..

after..

and dont worry...i have blue spark plug wires on the way from massive also. lol. the valve cover is darker than it looks in the pics. guess the light makes it look lighter.
