Question Question about interior LED tubes and Neon tubes.

Whats up guys. Im about to add some interior lighting but I dont know what to get. Whats the main differince between the LED and Neon lights. Plus does anyone know what the watts are for those. I checked my Manuel for my focus and it says I have 20Amps for the interior power adapter. Im going to hook up a Quad Socket Power adapter because I only have one in my focus.

Okay, I'll try to make this short, I've been in your shoes once and have a few suggestions.
The main difference between LED's and neons are the power draw and the angle of light. LED's are directional ranging from a 30 degree to about 120 degree lighting area. Neons (or cold cathodes) are omni directional. What I would suggest is to use cold cathodes instead of neon, if you're going that route. They draw VERY little power, are much smaller than traditional neons, produce less heat, and are about as bright. As beefzx3 said though, oznium is a great site to research that for yourself and their products are good too (current customer). As for the quad socket power adapter, if you are planning on keeping your ride for a little while, hard wire everything yourself. It will clean up installation and make your life a lot easier down the road. There are plenty of people on here (myself included) who can walk you through an installation; it's really quite easy.

I currently have installed LED's to replace my dome light, and Cathode black lights for show, and I must say they rock. If you have any other questions though, you can PM me.

Well, I have leds inside and neon under the car! And as far as wiring,... very simple. the black wire would be your ground(attach to something metal) and your red wire is your power source. Either take it to the battery and be sure to put a switch in there, or like I did, I ran mine to the headlight switch so mine come on when I turn on my parking lights! Very simple to do! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!!

I can't say anything about that web site. But oznium is great. On of the transformers broke after 1 day, so I went to get another one and I got a replacement and additional cathode tubes +transformer for free. Their customer support is the best. Shipping is only $3
