Stock tach signal

If a tach/cluster is plug'n'play on a car with out a tach then there must be a tach signal wire to the gauges. So can you hook a tach/ tach driver up to it? Anybody know which wire it is?

It's not a signal from a tach driver. The tachs in our cars work off the ECU telling the cluster how often it's firing the spark plugs, hence why you can plug in a new cluster without diving under your hood. There may or may not be a dedicated wire for this signal, and there's no telling whether or not the signal would be intelligible or useable to an aftermarket tach.

Are you trying to get a tach in your car? The OEM cluster swap is by far the best way to go, and easy, to boot. I did it on mine and have had no problems at all.
