Manual to Power mirrors ?

I'm taking a guess here that the wiring already exists to swap from manual to power mirrors? Just need the inside mirror cover and control? Or is there a portion of wiring harness necessry to plug into the factory harness?

Ok, well I have removed the Panels on my 01' LX and the only harness that I had through the door was the speaker.

So I would guess with a SE, or SVT's they may or may not.
I have the Standard, non power doors. But I am working on a conversion, something similar that I did to my 87' Toy. I converted the doors to power. That was a challenge then, since the Power doors were not so common in the 80s.

So what I am working on now is how I will convert the doors and power. I will just make a single Harness for the Windows, Locks, Mirrors and Door Lights and run them however I can. But you still need a module... and I forget which it is off the top of my head, the GEM or something to that extent.

Anyways, if you open your door, and you have the Harness that runs from the body of your car to the door. That should Unscrew and it will have a number of holes in it. You can see if there are any wires in the holes, or pull back the weather stripping and check to see how many wires are there.

Now if there are wires, I would say get a Manual and read up on the wiring and it should be simple to go from the book to your car.

Got any questions, just PM Me! :p

Hey guys, if your still looking for an answer...

I just installed a new Loom with Power doors. As of now here is where I stand...

-Power Door Locks (Work)
-Power Windows (Missing Relay)
-Power Mirrors (Waiting on Mirrors)

It is possible, to check your wires, remove one of the plugs from your rear doors, and check the number of pin connectors... if you have 2 or 3 you are not set for a swap, if you have more that 8 then you are fine.

Anybody have a parts list for this type of mod? I would assume you need to at least acquire a window motor of some sort. I'm a noob at electronics but mainly due to the answers I have found in this forum I have managed to do several mods to my car and figure I could try doing something along these lines.

Window motor? I thought you wanted to do a Mirror crossover? Are you doing all Power doors?

If so, you can get all the parts you need from a junk yard, request them here, or check e-bay!

Theres several online sites that also carry aftermarket kits for do it yourself.
