HVAC cluster blue led???

I am changing the interior green led's to blue, and I was wondering what the best and easiest way to do the HVAC knobs. Now I know that I will have to put new led's in but what about the green plastic molding? Will the led's shine right through it, will it be evenly spread?

Thanks, Devin

ehh... dont do it that way. I did that, and it looks like s**t... you want to use 74 bulb style LED WEDGE style bulbs... like here:
74 bulb LED wedge

these are bright, allow a wide angle light like a bulb, and allow the light to fill the whole HVAC cluster, instead of a direct beam like a normal LED bulb... if you look on my post that i did about changing all my lights to blue LEDs you will see what using a single 3mm LED looks like... which is total s**t

What I'll be trying is chrome spray paint inside the HVAC white plastic housing. No matter what the led is, I don't think they 'throw' light out at all angles like a regular bulb. Maybe with the chrome paint it'll give the inside a more mirror-like and reflective surface.

I'll be trying the same for the plastic inside the dash cluster. Even with refractive leds I still have some corners that light isn't getting to well.
