Digital gauges

Well I recently purchased digital gauges and I didn't relize just how bright they are at night. If anyone has digital gauges, I need to know how to hook them up to the dimmer switch so I can turn the brightness down at night. Thank you

dont have any sorry...but i'm sure you could either splice into the dimmer wire or hook the wires up to the dimmer fuse (dont know if there is a fuse for that or not)

gauages

The gauges are cyberdyne digital. I went with them because they light up cobalt blue. The only thing it says is to hook up a purple wire to the dimmer switch in your car. I have no clue which wire that is though on the back of the light switch. I bought the gauges from summit racing.

On the back of the light switch, when i hooked up my glow gauges, to use the dimmer switch (stock), i used the blue/orange wire. To test, splice the purple wire into the orange/blue dimer wire on the back of the switch (i do believe this wire is (+) I would suggest trying to find out for sure if the purple wire should hook upto a (+) or not, to protect your new digital gauges.

Hope this helps.

gauges

did you hook up the dimmer switch wire to that one only. Or did you tie in the wire that is supposed to go to a positive feed.

the positive feed to that wire, however as yours has an independant dimmer wire, i would imagine this would be the wire to hook to the dimmer control. I think, dont quote me on this thoough, the black/orange wire (May?) be the (-) dimmer control feed, again, this is more a guess then fact. I'll seeif i can find the wiring thingy for the switch.

I tried to hook it up to that wire to the radio but it didn't work. Is there a wire behind the stock gauges that I could tap into?
