How do I get the stock shift knob off?

I have an '03 ZX3 and I can't find a way to get the shift knob off. I'm not sure if it's stock or not seeing as I'm new to the Focus but there's no way to twist it off and there's no set screw to keep it down.

Any ideas?

It should just be threaded on there. Try using pliers or a pair of vice grips to unscrew it.

It came off, I just had to use a vise grip to get it off. It was really on there.

Thanks
