2003 ZX3 Missing VIN plate

I'm working on my car, and I noticed the VIN plate under the air intake is missing...

I bought this car used over a year ago, and I just want to make sure the VIN on the windshield and door match the chassis. Is there another location of the VIN on the chassis?

Thanks

What VIN plate?

Supposedly most are stamped under the carpet by the sill just in front of the driver's seat.

If you've got matching plate & sticker why worry? Can't replicate THAT easily.

People drive themselves nuts looking for engine/trans/chassis numbers....

Supposedly there is a VIN plate under the air intake above the radiator.

Fordparts.com says my car is an LX

3FAHP313X3R

I think the Ford website is just being dumb.

There is no vin plate there. I'm not sure who told you that or where you found that info but it's incorrect; at least for your generation US spec Focus.

I have never seen one under the carpet anywhere.

OBDII reader could have pulled the info as well if I'm not mistaken.
