Body work?

Any body guys out there that can help a brother out? I have a rough svt rear I need re painted, but too expensive for a shop to do the whole thing. What's the best way to go about getting it down to bare and primer? Any tips or tricks or things to keep an eye on?

Grab the sander & have at it w/ 80 grit, making sure the panel is straight, prime it & then guild coat it & sand w/ 180/220, finish up w/ 320/400. I'd take it in for them to paint, they can mix the color for your paint condition on your vehicle so it matches.

What is rough about it? Needs repaired from a crack or just faded paint and chips? Flexible bumper repair, some bondo, primer, various grits from 80,180,320 wet, prime it, then wetsand 400 and then either 800 or 1000. Any discrepancies that you see will show through when you paint. Just a heads up.

Basically take like can of black paint and spray it real fast over it all, then sand it again. Wherever you see paint specks after you are done sanding will show you all your low spots or uneven areas.
