Question Help With 2000 ZX3 Driverís Side Front Seat Belt + Part Number

First of all, thanks for having a look at this post!

I own a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 with black seat belts.

Out of the blue, my driver’s side seat belt will no longer pull out and it is stuck in a fully retracted position. I removed the belt completely from the car to see if I could free it up from the retractor but there is no way the belt will pull out of the metal housing.

I have been having a hard time to locate the correct part number for a replacement belt. I have called my local ford dealer and all they could give me was what he called the “base” number, which is “611B09”. I ordered part # “YS4Z 54611B09AA” online from Parts International and it turned out to be the wrong part. My seat belt is not bolted to the floor, but rather the end slides onto a bar that is bolted to the floor. I also noticed that the two new belts that I received appeared to be stuck in a fully retracted position and I could not pull the belts out of their metal housing.

I have attached a photo of my seat belt to this post. (notice the loop on the end of the belt instead of a bolt hole)

Q-1: Can someone please help me find the correct part number?

Q-2: Can someone please tell me if there is some kind of an “active restraint system” and if there is a diagnostic test to determine if this is causing the problem?

Q-3: Is there some kind of sensor within the plastic cover on either side of the metal housing that releases / locks the belt?

Last eight digits of VIN #: YR164955

Thank you for your help with this!

- Jason

OUTER BELT for 2000 Ford Focus|YS4Z-54611B68-EC

Looks a bit expensive. I'd look into the local salvage market.

Thanks but it looks like this is the wrong part number. When you follow the link you provided, it shows "rear seat belt" (although the image looks like my belt) in the navigation: Home -> 2000 FORD FOCUS -> REAR SEAT BELTS -> YS4Z-54611B68-EC

I need the driver's side front seat belt.

I spoke with another Ford dealer this morning and he said that came up as a seat belt for the rear.

He gave me two part numbers: YS4Z-54611B09-AB + YS4Z-54611B09-CA

Does anyone know what the "AB" and the "CA" designate?
