New here

Well i joined to learn a little about the 00-07? Focus I don't know much about them I'm a honda guy and I'm picking up one for a beater zx3 hb. I'm doing a few things to it because I can't leave any thing alone lol. First I'm buying a 4 4" light set up for the roof. Then I'm going to make a bracket to hold 2 more 6" round. But I want to lift it about two inches because I want to fit some bigger tires any idea?

Have you seen a 2007 zx3 in person yet?

How big of tires do you want to add? There should be plenty of room back there to increase size some. Although, its not recommended... it will throw off your speedometer, decrease handling, decrease mpgs..... Also, there is not really a lift kit available for the focus. Most people think they sit way too high any ways

Lift kit on a focus huh? I havent heard that one before. Even guys who rally their focus tend to stay around factory height or a bit lower. Im not sure the purpose of larger tires either since it will reduce performance and put more load on your engine.

The best choice that I can think of for you is a 03-07 focus with the 2.3 duratec engine. Its the torquiest and arguably most reliable engine you can get in a mk1 focus. You can find em pretty cheap these days (there are a few around me for ~$3500).

Lifting the Focus any higher than it came from the factory will cause the rear wheels to move forward towards the front of the car in their wells and they won't be centered anymore. That, and getting larger tires, may cause rubbing.

Also I have the Ford Racing SVT suspension and I think it's high enough for pretty much any driving you'd do with a car, including mixed surface rally racing. If you want to mod your suspension I strongly recommend you get that.

It was just a idea for a beater. I'm just going to lower it. I already put hids, new tires, and inspection. The car is mostly flat black already so I'm just going to keep going with the flat black. Today I split the head lights so I can paint the housings black. I have a extra set of tails that I'm tinting. I've cut alot of stickers for the car for the rear. And for the steel wheels I need to think of a obscene color to paint them. Maybe lime green or mint or metallic blue
