Ah okay I see, wouldn't it be cheaper to get a battery relocating kit ? And the motor mounts are way better then stock.

Not really as far as the battery relocating kit is concerned. Rules make you have a sealed box, vented to the outside if the car, plus you have to rip out all your interior to run a 1 or 2 gauge wire all the way to the back, which you pay about $5 a foot for, and then have a big battery always in your trunk. This option is much more functional and more cost effective.

I consider this tray to be way better that stock. I can shake my whole car with the battery without it budging. It also creates more space in the engine bay, which is GOLD for anyone whose has their hands and arms in there all the time.

Here is my prototype tray. The final one will look much better and will be completely milled to shape.

Cool. Wondering if further weight could be reduced by milling openings or such in the base under the battery without affecting rigidity? Just a thought. Probably wouldn't be much weight saved for the effort anyway.

This will be cool for people who want to do stock location replacement. I'm still more interested in a duretec location tray but that's not as straight forward as the zetec one.
