homemade plastic molding parts.

So im thinking about making a plastic vacuum molding setup. Reason is that I want a clear timing belt cover and I cant find one for our vehicle. Zetec/spi/or svt. I am trying to figure out what would be the best method. Anything to think about before doing so. So yeah... let me know ideas or thoughts/opinions.

I would assume it would yellow and haze rather quickly with the underhood temps.

Good point. I was thinking about smoking it. Maybe that would cancel out some of the yellowing.

I mean it may work, worth a shot for sure if you have the skills. Come to think of it my clear fuse holder for my big 3 upgrade is still nice and clear a year later and its next to the batter cover.

I am bringing this thread back. But as you were told that feelers are not allowed. If you are wanting to sell something as a group buy or in quantities you need to get permission from the site owner to do so. I would like to see something like this as well, but again, it depends on the quality of it and how it looks would depend on how it would go over. Good luck to you.

I changed my post. No more feeling in here! I really just wanted to do this. And see if anyone had thoughts about it. I dont care about selling them. As you can see I deleted the part about if anyone would want one. Thanks for the reminder on feelers. Wasn't really looking to sell them. More curious if anyone had thought about them as I had.

Sorry
