If you lay it on thick enough plastidip is very durable. a couple of heavy coats on my enkeis and it doesnt come off due to scraping

As others have stated a good quality vinyl like 3M and you'll be fine. Just stay away from the eBay crap. Plastidip on the roof does not work out the best or look the best. Would take you 3-4 cans and you have to be careful on how you spray it to get the coats to look even. Nowhere even remotely durable as the vinyl or as easy to remove.

I'd buy the car kit from dipyourcar.com and not use the cans on big areas

Even if you can get the plasti-dip to look good, it won't last nearly as long as vinyl wrap will. I looked into vinyl and plasti-dip as alternatives to paint on my last car. From what I read high quality vinyl will last for 5-7 years where as plasti-dip starts to come off after about 1 year. Just my 2 cents.
