DIY Tinted Windows?

Has anybody tinted their own windows? Any tips? What do you do about those little dots around the back 3 windows?

i did my rear three windows.

yea, the first 2-3 times trying to apply the film, you'll mess up.
then you'll get a feel for it, working the squeegee around with soapy water.

I spent ~$65 or so, for rolls of tint.
i used Gila tint, 5% limo tint.

i enjoyed doing it cuz $150 too much money but then again u get the guarentee.

Tinting is an "ART".... if the window is arc'd in more than a two ways, your going to have trouble. It's tricky and I have yet to see a 'homemade' tint job look good. Check around your town for shops and play them against eachother, might not cost you much more for them to just do it then if you were going to do it yourself. Plus most tint shops have some sort of warranty on the tint as well as their work so if it bubbles or peels, they fix it....

as previously stated by s2 youre just gonna wanna get a shop to do it.. the warranty and it being done right, you cant go wrong.. sure its gonna cost a little more, but in the long run it should be worth it..

Those little 'dots' are a pain in the ass to tint to. You can't tint over them cause the tint won't stick and you'll get bubbles and unless you got one super steady hand, cutting the tint around them with a razor keeping a decent edge is practically impossible.

I was just going to do it myself becuase we dont have any shops close to here. The closest place that does it is over an hour away. It sucks living in a tiny ass town
