Which ebay projectors should/can I get for HID's to work on

Hey everyone, so this is the deal.

I had bought these particular kind of projectors from ebay, because they looked cool, and I thought they'd look nice with my bodykit.

Here is a pic of the exact model, though this IS NOT the company I bought mines from.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-04...spagenameZWDVW

First let me break off for a second and say that even though they did indeed look nice, they were pretty damn cheap in quality, the regular bulbs would burn out like every 2-3 days, and I got tired of replacing bulbs, which is why i then decided to get HID's.

When I got the HIDs the dude who installed them for me said I couldn't use them with these headlights because (and please excuse my noob vocabulary terms) the circle opening was too small for the HID bulb to go through, and I would have to go back to the stock headlights, which I did (I know theres probably a way to mod those projectors with HID's, but I don't really wanna go through all that). But now I'm getting tired of these stock headlights even though the HID's work well enough, and I wanna get black halo projectors once again.

SO, based on personal experience or expert advice, which particular halo projectors from ebay do you think are good to use with HID's without having to do much modding? A link or picture will do great, thanks alot for your time and help.

are u sure the hid bulbs were the correct size for the projectors. typically, projectors use a H1 bulb.

i thought typically they used h3's. and you would need an h3 style hid bulb to use in place of the h3 halogen. beware your gonna get flamed to hell and back for putting hid's in halogen housings...

theres a link to a place where you can buy bulbs.

ahhh i can't remember for sure ... but I think they are H3's, 6000k. I've had them for about 5 months with the stock headlights, no problems so far except that the beam angle is slightly off.

correct me if I'm wrong but im pretty sure the only headlamps you should use HID's in are the stock svt HID's. anything else is probably a halogen projector housing.
but i know-i am in the same boat as you as i am looking for some nice hid kit and housing from ebay too. i would like to see the best halogen housing headlamp for HID use too
bump ttt

If you want HIDs, do it right. Meaning put the HID into and HID projector and not halogen projector and most of all not in the reflective halogen headlight, that is the ONLY way for it to work, or buy svt HID OEM headlights.

ok so ur using the hid bulb in the stock headlights so that means ur using a stock sized hid bulb to try and put into a aftermarket housing. thats most likely ur problem right there. the stock size bulb is bigger than say a h1 bulb so it wont fit. find out what size bulb goes into the other lights and that should do it.

this is what the stock bulb look like...(not the exact bulb but the right size)

this is an h1 bulb...(not saying this is what u need)

just a comparison to show size.
