Question Headlamps 2005 and newer ZX4 Focus

I have a 2005 ZX4 Focus with a headlamp out and want to replace both with Sylvania Silverstar headlamps, but it doesn't look easy. Magpie oil change said to take it over to Tuffy and they'll do it but I'd rather save the money.

Is the replacement of headlamps in the 2005 and newer focus' different than the 2000-2004 models? I don't see a guide online for replacing these on my ZX4 and the ST107 guide doesn't seem to apply. I don't see a black plastic cover in front. It appears the whole lighting assembly has to be removed. Haynes type service guides don't show the newer years in detail seperate from covering the engine.

hmm i dont have a pic of the back of my headlamp from when i painted my headlights... but there is a rubber piece over the back, once you get that off, there is a plastic piece you twist, then it should come out... **this is off mem. so if someone can help me out* but is should be kinda straight forward.

Ya, take that rubber cover off of the big hole

There is a pretty wide plastic ring around the outside of the bulb holder. Twist that (counter clockwise I think). Should turn about 180 degrees and fall off. Then the bulb holder shoul be able to be pulled out and the bulb changed.

Went to change mine today on the driver's side. Pita for sure. Dropped the ring in the bottom of the headlamp. Can't reach it as it's slid to the front of the headlamp. According to my Haynes manual, I'll have to jack the car up, and remove the bottom gravel cover to get to the bolt in order to take out the headlamp. I wonder if I could use ramps instead. Anyone have any suggestions?
Know anywhere I could get a magnetic pickup tool for plastic parts? (just kidding). sure would be nice, though.
