Rucking!

Some people will understand the title, some wont, BUT nevertheless, I'm curious to see who actually likes to hump?

In my experience, I've done the air assault 12 miler with 35lbs, 6-10- 6 mile rucks all with 40 lbs on my ruck, and a jungle ruck with about 60 lbs on my back.

What made me bring this up is well pretty much my back and shoulders hate me right now and was curious if people actually like to do it? If you have any stories to add, feel free to share.

Just yesterday, we did a 6-miler that was up a 3 mile mountain (bear mountain in New York) and it sucked. Digital meter read 42lbs, plus weapon, plus molle gear with water. Legs and feet were on fire....good times

Edited your title from "Humping!" to "Rucking!"

I don't mind rucking, but it's when I try and go as fast as the rest of the formation. My short legs can't keep up. I can ruck, just can't go as fast as these longer-legged people.

ur speaking my language man, i love hoofin it, back in basic (ft.leonardwood) was my longest hike i have done to date, just under 20 miles 1 way, it was on our bivwak, we camped at out site for 4 freakn days...good field chow tho!..anyway, i would have liked the hike alot more if we werent all in full battle dress (even our M-16A2's)..not too mention our rucksacks fully loaded...but yeah, even now long walks are one of my hobbies.

Rucking is not bad, I enjoy it every now and then My neck and shoulder hate me afterwards but that is part of getting old.
