Yes I have that was also part of our 20 mile road march. FT. Knox also has some very nasty hills we ran 2 times a week 8 miles. I was there for 2 years till Desert Storm

no big thing...it's not the same anymore. you know, kinder gentler army...lol

wlc is a joke now. don't even have to be able to do a pt test, much less pass weight. they say thats the units responsibility now... how the hell can you be a fat ass nco not being able to do a pushup, great leadership material there.
whats wierd is I just thought of something. some of the goofiest or dumbest looking soldiers, as well as those with bad attitudes, were my best. I hated college asshats with no common sense, and it seemed there were alot of those.
I had one girl i worked with on generators who never seemed to know what the hell she was doing, but by god she could figure out some complex problems. Now, i seriously know the things inside and out but had one that stumped me. every time it rained the thing would shut down and i went through absolutely everything trying to figure the problem out. I went on a convoy for a couple days when it rained and came back to find it had gone down and she fixed it. asked how and she said with a can of compressed air, wth? then she showed me a dip switch on a circuit board would get moisture in it and a simple squirt of air wouls dry it out...DOH! so simple. bad thing was Id built the damn thing from 2 bad turkish generators
Bad thing was they tried to get her for damaging a cat generator. someone had bypassed the oil pressure safety shutoff and when she changed oil, she had gotten hold of a bad batch which gelled, thereby seizing the engine (i do know how heavy a cat oil pan with 5 gallons of grease in it is...). Tell you what, and anyone i've worked with knows this, if someone is getting screwed through no fault of their own, i will fight for them tooth and nail and could give two shits about the rank on my collar.
my pet peeve was west pointers who always thought they knew everything, even when they were wrong

I'm not worried about the physical portion, worried about the mental part. my dad was a navy man, and does ironman's and marathon's now. I can run miles without training, and have a ton of energy. I do have a problem with blood, passing out and such. That's honestly the only thing holding me back.
