Sat April 10th...Dyno Day

ok...We're planning on doing a dyno day on Sat April 10th at MAC autosports on the south side of E 470 on Parker Rd..... www.macautosport.com

here are some excerpts of a post on the Jet...

"Ok, guys, talked to Bill over at Mac Autosport and we have the lowdown on what is available for groups. He can accomodate FWD or AWD, so Slane and Van can join us as well.

First off, for those interested in baseline ONLY, you will be able to get 3 dyno pulls + A/F ratio maps for $50. They will record your pulls and if tuning is wanted/needed, you may come back and use their expertise for tuning.

For those interested in tuning of ANY kind (ECU, cams, etc), you will get a baseline run and tuning goes in 1/2 hour increments. For FWD cars, each 1/2 hour will go for $60, with expertise from their crew on getting the most of what your tuning by looking at pulls and A/F ratio. For those interested in AWD tuning, the price jumps to $70 per 1/2 hour. Sorry if these don't seem very good, but unless EVERYBODY goes with tuning options, then he can't give us group discounted tuning rates, however, he said baselines were ok as a group rate with 10 or so people."

" (first update....): Called Mac again, and he has confirmed that EVERYBODY pays for the $50 baseline, BUT for those who want tuning right then and there after their baseline, you only add $10 and you get a full 1/2 hour tuning w/ unlimited pulls. In other words, if your tuning, do a 3 run baseline, then pay $10 extra for 1/2 hour more full of tuning while on the rollers. Like I said earlier, it is when they have to strap the car on and off that kills the price, so when your on the rollers and you want to do more time, IT'S CHEAPER!!! But if you were to dyno pull, go to lunch, and then want to go back on the rollers and tune, that's another story, which would be $110 ($50 base + $60 1/2 hour tuning). "

"Yeah, he is definitely getting us a deal (that makes sense). I am OFFICIALLY changing this to Saturday, if no one else has any objections, so plan for the 10th. If your interested in going, tell me so I can add you to the list. They'd like to know how many people are coming, and I said our rough estimate was 10, so we need close to that, at the very least. "

"Talked to Bill again, changed it to Saturday the 10th, HOWEVER, he'd strongly like to see at least 10 people show up for a Saturday group, just makes his time more efficient. So far we have 5, I need at least 5 more. On a side note, Saturday pulls start at 10 AM!!!

Meeting places: I've heard there is a gas station called Petro station off of Parker and Quincy that sells 93 octane for the price of 91. We might all wanna fill up there, then roll down together and show up a few minutes before 10. I'm thinking meet at 9:30? Does that sound good? "

Yeah, sorry for the long ass reading, ehhe.... but we might have about 4 or 5 foci and at least one STi owner that used to have a focusSVT.....

let us know if you guys want to join in....
