Good mechanics in Olathe, KS?

Does anyone know of any good mechanics in Olathe, KS? My water pump is starting to go and I was just quoted over $400 to replace it at Olathe Ford. They also said I should have the thermostat changed out and that would run an additional $180. I told them I would just pick the car up. Can anyone recommend someone around the Olathe, KS area? Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

I looked at focus hacks and it looks pretty easy, but if the water pump is going to get removed, it might as well get done too (since the coolant will be drained). I would do the whole thing myself, but you have to remove a motor mount to remove the water pump and I don't feel confident that I have the right tools and do not want to screw it up. May I ask where your friend's shop is?

I am in Olathe and Topeka would be a little bit of a drive. I wanted to get it fixed locally just in case it goes. I have 93,000 miles on my car.

Don't go to a Ford shop. Just go to a shop you have been to before. I got mine replaced for $250...Ford always charges too much.

Yeah, that always seems to be the case. I went to the Ford dealership because they were convenient and would give me a ride to work and pick me up. I am going to call around tomorrow to find a shop. I would love to try out the guy in Topeka, but it is a bit far. :(
