    Hey,

Thanks for all of your previous help btw! I am going to be dropping my motor in next weekend. If all is good I will be starting it as well. Tom has already got me a start up tune so I am good to go.

How would you go about breaking the motor in? It has new everything; new cams, bearings, rings, etc. Heck it even has a new exedy clutch.

I have been reading all sorts of stuff about easy and hard breakins and well, I just want to get it right.

In addition to how you would break in the motor, what oil would you use? I plan on using the crane cam zinc additive for the cams.

    Thanks a million[cheers]

550 fr 450 rr, but that will probably change slightly over the next year as I work on dialing in the chassis tuning.

My Koni yellows are currently with TrueChoice in Ohio.

they are a Koni auth rebuilder, and they are being shortened and getting custom valving for the spring changes etc now that it's a track only car.

Compared to last year, my lap times at NJMP Lightning circuit have dropped almost 4 full seconds, (1:23.84 > 1:20.01) so gutting the car and instaling the cage dropped my wt. by about 150 lbs total, but the chassis is way stiffer and with the changed spring rates etc, the car is completely different, and I still have more to go with chassis set-up. I also made some slight changes to the engine (header wrap and port matching on the header) but doubt it added more than 3-6HP

the real scary thing was now that I added temp guages etc, the oil temps were hitting 290F on the second day at NJMP, so I'm adding a cooler before the next event!

I found your videos on youtube of the Watkins Glen race (part 1 and 2)....absolutely freaking killer man! Some of those apex's where taken perfect.. Very impressed man... Keep on scaring those V8's. I planned on doing the same with my car soon as its paid off, and you gave me that much more inspiration!

Got the springs, thanks man. Trying to give rep points, but I'm kind of lost on the new set up.
