Hey Karl, I'm currently leaning toward the less aggressive (13) grind. I really don't think I need/want the more aggressive set, as 3500 RPM is where the power is supposed to start with those, as opposed to 2500 with the other ones. I know you said upgrading the springs and retainers wouldn't be a bad idea, but stock should be fine, right?

I know CAT's site says stock parts are okay, but I just thought I'd get your opinion.

Well, changed my mind again. I emailed Cat, and they said that the 14 grind should be safe on a stock engine, and since I plan to do a full build eventually, I don't want to get a set of cams that isn't aggressive enough.

Anyway, Karl -- I'll be giving you a call in the next few days to get the cams, spring and retainers ordered.
