once i got the top bolted in, the bumper flared out about 2.5" at the bottom. i just bent some 3/16" aluminum stock and bolted it to the bottom corner of the bumper and then measured how much "in" i need to be. cut it then bolted to the lower rad support. actually looks real good. went and took some quick pics

i used thick rubber washers on the bumper so that it wouldnt crack if it gets flexed
i used holes that were already in the rad support

Thanks for the pics. Had heard some or alot(?????) Of the original F2 bumpers flared out as well once bolted in place. Heard several people had to make brackets kinda like you did to pull in the sides. Kinda sucks to have to do but at least its an easy fix.

Did the ED RS bumper look like it needs much modification when you test-fit it?

well from where it was bowed out from being a bit wide, some stress cracks have started to develop. before i paint it, ill probably pie-cut the bottom corners and re-glass them just to take the strain off of the corners

Was afraid something like that would happen due to this being a fiberglass product. Be sure to take.pictures of the cracks. If they are small now they will most likely develop.into full on cracks/breaks. Hopefully your planned precut and rear reinforcement with glass will address this problem.

Will have to hold off on getting this bumper until I see how yours does and others. Not to thrilled at all the extra modification, time and money it appears will be needed to make this work.

Keep us posted.

I'm extra nervous about this process myself now! I'm less than a month of side jobs away from getting the whole bevy of "kit" pieces fitted, prepped, painted, and mounted (with the Zeus clips I mentioned!!!)... until then I'm going to freak out about the possible SNAFUs!

I'll also have to put together a thread in the Mid-Atlantic region if the paint/clear turns out as nice as I think it will. If you need painting done and you're close; I see no reason to keep a great painter a secret!
