Afternoon guys.
Dumb question. Is there a way to check my trans fluid on the SVT? The shifts seem a little bit hard and I am wondering if its a little but low. Also any recommendations on trans fluid to buy?

Is your clutch bled? Does it release close to the floor? How are the shift cables? It's usually those two things before the trans itself.

He clutch releases/engages close to the floor. As for the shift cables I don't know. I have no problem finding the gears it just feels a little hard to get it in to gear. I did notice that the trans did leak a drip in the driveway the other day. That's another reason I thought it may be a bit low.

I have heard good stuff about the royal purple synchromesh or something like that. Some guys at work says it makes the shifts nice and smooth.

If the clutch engages close to the floor, it needs to be bled. I could be your master cylinder that's attached to the clutch pedal is leaking. (The most common point.) See if your clutch arm is wet. You likely need to some fluid.

i'd say check master cylinder, then tell us where it is leaking from (could be the slave cylinder) i'm a redline MT-90 fan myself
