2002 zx3 revving question

I just purchased my 2002 zx3 yesterday and have noticed that it has the tendency to hold its revs, or rpm, for a long time before dropping to idle.

From 5000 rpm, I take my foot of the gas, and it takes 7 seconds to drop to idle.

Is this normal?

I am used to Camrys (maybe 2-3 seconds) and chevy 350s (1 second)

Any diagnostics on this? I have 6000km left on warranty and would want to get this fixed.

Definately shouldn't be taking THAT long to dip back to idle from 5k rpms....it will take longer than a camry more than likely and definately longer than a V8....but don't think it should take 7 seconds...I know it doesn't on my SVT.

Thanks, does anyone else know what it should be, and what the problem might be?

update:
I went in to check another car, to test what it did.
From 5k rpm, it took 3 seconds to drop to idle, mine still is 7 seconds.
Is it because of the shorty intake? (from the fender area).
Does anyone else have this problem with their car?

try use those fuel additives to clean the fuel system, also clean the throttle body.
