Does a bad DPFE sensor cause the engine to stall at idle?

I have occasional stallings and very low idle speeds in general, especially while coming to a complete stop.

Spark plugs are brand new. Swapped a brand new idle air controller and nothing changed.

Has anyone had the engine stall during idle due to a failed (or slowly failing) DPFE sensor or the EGR valve switch ??

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Orhan

I've been researching a similar issue, and I can suggest with confidence that the culprit is likely your TPS.

The DPFE sensor MAY cause a lean condition where it detects the EGR is not open enough, and opens it further, introducing unmetered exhaust gases into your intake. However, a lean condition would cause an increase in idle speed, not decrease.

Coming from someone that had way too many DPFE issues when he had one I can say that it never once caused an engine stall or in any other way affect idle. I think your problem lies elsewhere

Fingers is right: stalling at stoplights due to low idle is the classic symptom of a bad TPS.
