Has Anyone Used The FSWERKS MIL Eliminators?

Hey guys, so I finally fixed my P0054 downstream O2 sensor resistance code in my 2003 2.3L PZEV LX. It turns out the stock sensor was still installed (I made a post about this a while back). After swapping the original sensor with a new OEM replacement NTK sensor. The P0054 code went away but now I have P0420. My registration is due in about 3 weeks and I need to smog it. The only CAL legal mani-cat available is from Ford and it costs $2300 (I only paid $1450 for my car so that's not an option). I am thinking about getting the FSWERKS MIL Eliminators so that the ECU will think that the cat is operating efficiently and the CEL will go away, so I can therefore pass STAR Smog. I live in California (A.K.A. Emissions and Mod Hell) I've looked at other forums and everyone has said that they work and pass emission readiness without producing a CEL or DTC. Anyone have experience with these? Link to the eliminators is right here:

Sounds illegal, I like it. Do they test the exhaust gases coming out of the car?

No they don't do the sniffer, just an OBDII scan and a visual inspection to make sure everything is there

A more expensive option, but more likely to work and pass visual, it a tune to turn off the rear o2 sensor. Could probably find and older sct x3 for a couple hundred plus the cost of a tune.

Or try a "plug de-fouler". $10 part that physically pulls the rear O2 sensor out of the exhaust flow.

Yeah I'm gonna get a tune from Tom after I smog it. I have like 2 or 3 weeks to smog it and the MIL Eliminators are $35 so I think I'll try them first

Turning off the sensor only works where the checks are limited to looking for DTC's (CEL).

X2, they at least root around in the PCM for anything they can find missing like improper second O2 action. Here in Texas. It's not enough to simply have no CEL, they at least have to look for the OBD drive tests to have completed. I would think California testing would be all over that since Texas copied much of what that state does.

MIL Eliminators were declared illegal a good while back, I'm surprised they still sell them.

LOL, look at the 5 stars given to a review that said they didn't work........................

I'm pretty sure California only looks at three things. Visual equipment check, check engine light being off, and readiness checks. If you only have one o2 sensor showing as ready they aren't going to ask where the second one is.
