2005 HVAC duct diagram?

Ive got a 2005 Focus and have a mouse smell in the car when I run the fan. I park near a crabapple tree and can see half eaten crabapples under the cowl near the air intakes so I assume thats how they got in. Right now I think its a nest because its not really a dead mouse smell. Either way, driving with windows open in 40 degree weather is no fun.

Does anyone have a diagram of the HVAC duct routing under the dash? I pulled out the blower motor and there's nothing in there so I assume its in the ducts somewhere.

Would also like some recommendations for a good deodorizer...

Bleach can work to remove smell but then you have to remove the bleach smell too. The cowl as well tucks down on the ends to drain rain, some deposit could be in there making smell too. Or even the cowl bottom flats themselves.

Get under the hood and under the cowl to check the inlet area, could have a BIG nest in that large area.

Thanks, yes taking the cowls off and cleaning under there is going to be my first step. I'm hoping that the nest is up in the cowl area and not down in the ducts but I guess Ill find that out. If they got in, next step I'm thinking is to take the vents off on the dashboard and snake a vacuum hose down each one to try and get anything that may have gotten inside. Also vacuum up through the blower motor area. Its my daily driver so I dont want to attempt taking the dash out to get at the vents unless everything else has failed.

Luck getting the cowl halves off w/o fragging the pop fasteners there.
