PO446 code

Just a shout out on my 2013 FF SE. I kept getting an engine light on my Focus. A PO 446 is a small emission leak. It started showing up when I tried some 93 octane fuel. Made the car run better especially when running the air conditioning. I would read the problem code and cancel the light. I called my Ford service department wondering why I kept getting a money light. After the 5th time in 4 weeks, service suggested bringing in the car and leave the light burning. As requested, I gave them my car ( in warrantee) for repairs. The problem was found to be a sticking VMV tube assy., replaced with a new assembly. No more lights, Interstate Ford, Miamisburg Ohio fixed the problem while I waited. Very nice of them to do it. Easy to get to, part on top of engine. If you get this code, some will tell you it's a leaking fuel cap. As I, cleaned and lubricated the fuel gate (gas cap) which did nothing to help the problem. Be aware, the Ford mechanic said they were seeing more of these sticking fuel emission valves going bad. Have fun with your Focus.
