Help ! Cannot get into my own car

Hi, I really hope someone can steer me in the right direction as I'm on the edge of giving up. I am unable to open my 2005 focus mkII TDCI, essentially the drivers side keyhole was drilled out by some thieves a few months back and I was relying on the electronic keyfob for entry as my key no longer worked in the lock, however after a few months I have returned to the vehicle and it won't open. I have changed batteries in the key and charged the car battery using another car and jump leads.

I called a garage , he tried to open using the air cushion but he said it was impossible.

So what's next ? Any ideas ? Is there a secret way in ?

Thanks for any help

If the problem is that the car's battery is drained so deeply that even the locking system won't work, I would start looking into how to access the battery and trickle charge it or swap for a good one. I don't know how hard it is to get the hood open from the outside on this car, but vandals steal car batteries all the time without opening the car doors, so maybe it's not too hard?

To avoid missing an easy fix, car battery needs testing or replacement with a known good one. With BlueShift on that option to try first.

Since even the air bag method of bending the door open for partial access didn't work, if the fob and battery won't do it you are down to calling a glass supplier to determine the cheapest window to break. Probably the driver's side for convenience, since that can be replaced by anyone.

Been there, done that, fortunately for me in a car that had a small extra pane that was cheap to replace and easy to cover temporarily.

DO assume that the damaged lock can't be forced to turn, or that it was tried already.

No more coat hangers through the vent window anymore.

^^Same reason for no coat hangers in the vent window. It Probably doesn't have a passenger lock like the vast majority of cars made over the past 10-15 years. Car makers must have saved billions from a seldom used feature. No key on the hatch/trunk sounds crazy though.

SVT doesn't have one the the pass side as do some regular MK1's, telling by the junkyard it looks like they phased it out over the span of the MK1.

Well, just one more reason for me to bitch about Ford isn't it? Like I'm not wallowing in them. I unlock from pass side all the time for different things.

Keep your old cars, newer of any brand doesn't use the multiple key locks of yore.

Driver's and trunk in my '04, and that's more than later versions.
