Code P2274

2005 ZX4 SE 2.0L 5-speed 158K miles

CEL is on. Got code P2274. Internet search yields:

P2274 = O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Lean - Bank 1, Sensor 3
Ignition misfire.
Low fuel pressure.
This DTC may be caused by :
Manifold vacuum leak.
Disconnected or Damaged vacuum hose.
Restricted or Damaged fuel injector.
HO2S
Suspect PCM.

Anyone have any advice as to what to chase first (ie HO2S, PCV, vacuum hose leak, etc) ? Have been getting this code for a few months. After clearing with my code scanner it always comes back in 500 to 2000 or so miles. Last time was only 200 miles. Car otherwise runs good with good mileage. Now and then idle will dip when coming to a stop but hasnt stalled yet.

Thanks
Paul

I show:
"The downstream heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) is forced rich and lean and monitored by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The test fails if the PCM does not detect the output of the HO2S in a calibrated amount of time.
Possible causes:
Faulty O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3
Exhaust leaks
O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3 harness is open or shorted
O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3 circuit poor electrical connection"

If you have three sensors, you might have a PZEV motor.
It likely won't affect the car's performance as it's simply there to monitor the catalyst's efficiency. Easiest check first is wiring. You could also swap with your second O2 sensor and see if the code follows the sensor, assuming sensor 2 and 3 are of an identical type. (I don't know if that's the case.)
Bet your O2 sensor's just done, given the mileage.

As said, follow that post #2, sensor 3 is a rear one. The causes the OP has down there are those for a sensor 1....................................
