What is this valve type thing (Duratec)

Hey I need to replace the gasket on the valve or sensor type thing that sits on the trans side of the engine. It's just to the front of the egr. The only problem is I don't know what it is called so I can't find the gasket. Please help.

Here are some pictures

That IS the EGR on the 2.3 duratec.

Exh. gas flows through the head, out & back in through that valve B4 entering the intake manifold. Gets chilled a bit in the process, and that valve/sensor is also liquid cooled. Coolant into it from the head & out through the metal tube on it.

Thanks, it's been so long since it was all together it's hard to picture what everything was connected to.

So then what is this thing?

The thing behind it that's connected to a pipe over the exh. is the air injection system for the PZEV models.

Runs off an electric pump down in the passenger side fender area, not operational most of the time. IIRC it's primarily functional on warm up to help warm up the CAT, extra air to burn rich exh. and heat things up.

Thanks, for some reason I was thinking it was the EGR.

Well, if you don't follow the hoses to figure it out - it's the only thing under the hood that obviously hooks up to the exh..

Nothing has been hooked up under my hood for months because my whole engine replacement project was delayed by me not feeling like working in my unheated garage during the winter. It does make sense for it to be the EGR though. Anyways I have a gasket ordered and I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow so thanks for helping me figure it out :)
