need help asap !!! smoke from engine bay

So ill get started by saying thr initial problem. I had a small brake pressure light coming out of my rack and pinion snap because it somehow touched my flex pipe. Thus it completely has killed my ps. So i have been driving aroind with absolutely no power steerinh for maybe a month.
The ps pump onlu squeeked on day one. Quiet ever since.
I removed the lines and plugged them like a cork so dirt could not contaminate the rack in hopes i will noy have to replace that as well....
In the last month ive lost my ps res cap and didnt think much of it because i new the pump was empty and had to be replaced anyeay..

Soooo which leads me todays concerns and questions lol
1. I have smoke and a god awful smell coming my air vents and in the bay.
2. They smoke readiates from inbetween thr ps pump and the block. I know it is coming from the pump because my cap-less reservor is also smoking. Whats the smoke from. Is it going to damage 7 non-related engine parts.
3. Safe to drive??????
4. Is my rack toast?
5. About a hr ago my car would begin squeaking while accerlation and for the modt part when i turned. And one hourlater the enture pump is smoking...
I have to drive 50 miles to get home. Am i cool to drive considering majority of my ps is shot ?

Thanks guys

All the P/S parts are now junk.
You are not safe to drive it. But the damage is done and no other serious damage should occur.
Odds of making it home, slim.

If you'd of repaired the damage right away it may have cost $10. As it stands now, you're looking at a few hundred or more.

Hope your shoes are comfy.

By continuing to drive the power steering pump could and probably will seize up which could cause the belt to break which would then cause the alternator and water pump to stop spinning which means the battery won't charge which could lead to a dead car once the battery level gets low enough to not run all of the electronics in the car and coolant won't flow through the cooling system leading to a potential overheating situation. Also could potentially lead to a fire from the residual PS fluid in the pump and reservoir (yes I know most drained out but there is still some in there).

The water pump will bite you first in about 10-15 minutes after it stops turning from the broken belt that comes when PS pump finally totally locks up. Motor will then burn up. 50 miles??? Get real. Your choices there pretty much fixed that.

Poor car.............
