Radiator fan/temp guage issues

Well for the past few days, the check engine light had been on. once the car gets up to temp the radiator fan kicks in and the temp guage plumits to cold. I lose a noticible amount of power. I can't figure out what it is. Coolant level is fine. I can't seem to find anyone else with the same issue on the same model. Ive seen where someone with an 04 model had the same issue and it was the CHT sensor. I have No way of knowing where the sensor is if it is the culprit. As far as I know they don't have Manuals out for my car yet. Can anyone help me out or steer me in the right direction. Would be greatly appriciated.

Moved this to General Tech Chat (assume you're trying to fix this yourself - out of warranty).

I'll add a link to a MkIII thread on manuals. Anyone need a 2012/2013 shop manual?

Reading the code(s) and checking temperatures is the place to start, need more data for good guesses. (Scan tool for both or test mode for the temps. after codes read)
