High idle on 03 svt

Alright guys... Got a question..my car popped the imrc valve stuck open code, so my idle was high and then when I stopped it would idle down.... Even when I had that code it wouldn't go above 2k rpm..... Which I could deal with...but I finally decided to look up some remedys to fix it..... Took the box off and filed the copper contact down a little and it fixed it.....NO MORE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!!!.... Ok now the bad... It still idles high!! Even higher now!! At one point it his 4k rpm and was still climbing so I had to cut the car off.. I've cleaned the maf and the throttle body..... I have no idea why it still does it... It does it worse since I've fixed the imrc fault... Any suggestions?

You could try disconnecting your battery for about 15 minutes and then reconnect it to reset the computer. You may get lucky.

Three choices

Sticking throttle, Sticking IAC, Vacuum leak.

Problem was there before the IMRC problem & it hasn't gone away. Not enough info. in the story for a better guess so far.

Ok so I tried to clean the iac valve just now..... Got done cleaning it out it all back together and now the car won't even start..... Every connector and every bolt is as it was before... However... I did notice when I took the connector off for the iac valve it had like .... Oil in it or something like that..... It didn't smell... So I cleaned it off and out... Put it all back together and now it won't even start....

May be related, may not.

Did you get the plunger moving?

If it's now stuck closed instead of open, cracking the throttle with the gas pedal might get it started.

(Assuming no other issue)

No crank & no start are different, coil wire problem would be no start (from no spark).

No mention of whether the plunger in the IAC moves yet, even a $5 or freebie VOM can help (HF giveaway).
