Belt Diagram for 2005.5 non AC ZX4 2.0L

Hello,

I am hoping someone can please help me. I have been searching and searching for a belt diagram for a non ac ZX4 (2nd gen). I am not sure why I can find it. Maybe a rare configuration? The only posting I found had inactive photos where the diagram was.

There is a pulley seized and burning the belt. It is where the ac would have been if it had a factory AC.

Many Thanks
Matt

Can't just re-route to skip that pulley AFAIK, need to repair/replace it.

Hi Sailor,

Thank you for your reply but I have no intention of changing the configuration. I need to replace the belt and can't find the diagram.

Check this one out, '07 but it looks right (same as my '04 duratec):http://i.fixya.net/uploads/images/24e381f.jpg

Sorry, sounded like you were looking for a way to skip that pulley.

Hi Sailor,

Thanks for the link. I was able to find this diagram many places but it does show an AC compressor pulley. My car has no AC and came that way from ford. I assume that they don't put an AC compressor pulley on cars without AC.

1st Gen focus' had different belt configurations depending on whether it had AC or not. Also, on one forum, someone had posted the 2 different images for 2nd gen Focus belt diagrams. One for cars with AC and one without. The problem is that the photos were no longer there for some reason and I can't find it anywhere else.

Original post quoted here says that you have an idler pulley where the A/C compressor would be. Is this not true?

Wish I could help more, haven't managed to search any details on a version without A/C.

If you have an idler pulley somewhere around where the diagram has the a/c pulley then you use the same diagram. The angles may change as well as the belt length.

Unless you are saying that everything in there has been moved around.

Okay, Many thanks for your input. The idler in place of the AC compressor is the conclusion that I was going towards. I will get it apart and see how things go at the parts ordering stage in terms of finding a belt and idler the same as my stock non AC configuration. Cheers!

Def. a different belt length & routing for zetecs without A/C, haven't found duratec info. to match yet. (don't see how it could work with everything else the same without using an idler in place of the A/C.)
