Question Stalling,at stop,at speed,not stedy but ramdum

2001 fouse zts w auto,No codes, no leaks,no hissing,good fuel psi,good volts,good bat.
Going down road at highways speeds any time ramdum, feels like you hit a log in the road if your at speed{bang and lights come on,some times picks back up or stumbles, some time goes on fine other times full stop, mostly after it dose that, next stop you make it will not do anything but stall as you try to start to move, and some times it will not start back up at all. {all very dangerist] sometimes run Ok for a few days. If I can fight it all the way home,I check codes with reader, nothing, check all oil, gas, tranny,{ done/new gas filter, new flywheel timing sen.,new air cleaner, cleaned TB,checked all fuses, checked plus ins to be sure nothing was sliding out. dose not seem to be heat related
So werid, even some times feels like autotranny in two gears at one time or some crazy. First light to come on near as I can tell is round yellow one on far left of dash for tranny then all dash come on. Should be codes but not, going on for 3 months off n on.
My back ground=50+years of designing an building racecars an hotrods of all types, raced lots of older Fords before computer control stuff, retired for 20 years
I did search,n read all the stuff, none fit or fixed it. My own thinking at this point is ECM has started going nutty,an may need new or rebuilt,I just don't know, have put a lot of time into trying to fig this out so far,{at lest 12 hr's so far

So no one has come up with the fix for stalling like this? Nearly all the other threads about stalling have no fix that works for those ether.

From your experience I'm sure you know that "stalling" covers every possible reason for an engine not to work properly, so you'll understand why there isn't a single "fix" to solve every different case.

Your particular description sounds like an electrical fault to me, sudden shut down at any time as if it was turned off. The most common cause for this with your engine would be a fault in the ignition coil wiring/connector, happens often enough that replacement connector "pigtails" are avail.. DON'T just check at the coil, faults further back where wiring passes by hot/sharp items is often found. Harness is short, with little slack avail..

All lights usually come on when this happens, as the engine is now stopped. However, you MAY be describing a trans./engine overheat as well, making your description harder to figure out & hence few responses. Yellow warning can come on throwing the system into a "limp" mode, when it slows dramatically & runs on intermittent cylinders for cooling, check your manual for details on this.

IF the engine isn't working perfectly, it could stall out when in the "limp" mode to match the description.

There's a set of possibilities, from common to wild guess. Wild guess would only apply IF you got yellow light, engine slow down, then stalling - and temp. gauge should show high as well.

It ain't your ECM.
As mentioned, electrical fault / wiring intermittent of some sort most probable based on your description of the symptoms. Start at the battery and start tracing the wiring harness. Burnt wiring next to the EGR pipe is not uncommon as is loose/corroded wiring at the battery terminals (the small gauge stuff).
