Trying to diagnose a pretty sever vibration

I'm thinking it may be something to do with one of the cv joints. When driving it, it makes no noise at idle, no matter what the trans is set to (automatic) once up to about 15mph it starts to vibrate and it gets louder and faster the faster you go, no difference whether acceleration, cruise, or coasting. It get louder when turning left and pretty much goes away when turning right at speed. When I jacked it up and let the wheels spin in drive it seemed like the driver side wheel had a hitch in its rotation. Just want to try to make sure I know whats wrong before I start tearing anything down so any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Swap the front two tires/rims & see if the problem moves

sounds like the wheel hub to me. FYI you may have a rear drum with the hub as one unit. You can test for the hub by jacking the car up and spinning the wheels. If it's the hub you'll hear a slight rubbing sound sort of on and off, and that wheel will not turn as well as the others.
