Motor Mounts

Dear subscribers,
I have a 2007 Ford focus 2.0L automatic sedan with 85 thousand miles which needs it’s motor mounts replaced.
Having received conflicting information that the car has 3 or 4 mounts and the corresponding estimates for their replacement and I'm really skeptical and don’t want to be conned.
Could you please shed light into my doubts, let me know which parts would I need and recommend a good reliable brand.

Sincerely,
Arturo

Always go OEM for motor mounts. Don't buy cheap aftermarket ones. They will break. It is worth your time and money to purchase the OEM mounts. You can get good prices for them at www.tascaparts.com or even www.tousleyfordparts.com (this will redirect you to AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake)

That said, there are THREE total mounts. Driver side, passenger side, and the lower torque mount.

X's 2

Listen to felixthecat's advice. If any of us know mounts and what to do, it's him.

Very cool cat says I.

Referring to my original post and the motor mounts, please let me know if there are any unforeseen consequences of delaying their replacement, apart from the annoying vibration.

The motor might drop down some on the passenger side, if not fall down some. Use the oem ford/motorcraft one or a poly one. For the dogbone= lower roll restictor use a poly one.http://C-F-M.com

If you need a psm, get it handled asap. If you need a lower mount the motor will roll around more. IDK w/o looking at it. Is your car a atx or stick?

Sorry, but I'm not understanding the acronyms "a psm" and "IDK w/o"
My car is an automatic.
