Thumbs down stalling after replacing pipe

hi all,

hoping someone can help, my car started making a whistling noise from under the bonnet and we found a broken pipe/hose

we took it out and it has part no:4m5g-6n664-ba c72 ga>eco2

the parts shop sold us 4m5g-6n664-fa

but now the car has low revs and the stalls.

im pretty sure its an air pipe, can anyone confirm this?

anyone have any suggestions?

I tried to do a search on a U.S. Ford site. I didn't have any luck. If it's a vacuum line, it could be you PCV hose. which could be a faulty PCV valve or possibly your idle air control valve. IACV for short.

I'm not sure in the U.K. You'll have to do some research. Maybe someone in your area will pick up on this thread. Over here, the PCV valve is about $15.00 from a Ford dealer. Any where from $40.00 to $100.00. It depends on the brand and where you buy it. Research......

Hey,

So i now have a engine warning light since trying the new pipe.

My mates connected a fault code reader and im getting the following faults for the engine:

*P0107 - Powertrain - Manifold Absolute Pressure / Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input
*P0113 - Powertrain - Intake Air Temperature Circuit High input

Can anybody point me in the right direction to progress this issue?

Not sure how a UK Fiesta differs from a US Focus...but that pipe looks like it could be the PCV hose or the breather hose that runs from the valve cover to the airbox. A pic of a foreign hose on a table isn't very useful to us; a better pic would be a good, clear image of the hose under your bonnet.

If the engine was running pretty well, and then you made a repair and now it it runs rough and triggers a CEL, then either your MAF sensor is bad or disconnected, or you have a vacuum leak. The obvious things to check are:
  • did you disconnect another pipe or electrical plug, and then forget to reconnect it?
  • is the new pipe installed correctly?

The engine details are missing (size) that could help others with a guess. Some engines run on MAP sensor & air temp, some have MAF & temp, some both even!

Loose hose or even disconnected wiring is a good first guess. Where that hose was located & any difficulties in replacement would also help with the guessing.

Low input would be a vacuum leak. Either that pipe/hose wasn't put on correctly or during the process another was disrupted and inadvertently unhooked.
Best to look over each hose and verify they are connected and not leaking.

That one would indicate the temperature of the incoming air is too cold.
This sounds like a case where the sensor is simply disconnected. It will be a 2 wire connector and I think grey in color.
