Zetec SE clouds of white smoke - no coolant loss

Hey so my cars just started pouring cloouds of white smoke from the exhaust..

Symptoms

-no coolant loss
-clouds of white smoke
-pulled plugs and theyre all black (fitted new ones 1 week ago)
-engine is pullin and struggling when setting off
-oil is empty (filed it up less than 6 months ago)
-doesnt over heat
- no management lights on dash

Any ideas... Maybe head gasket? But why would theyre be no coolant loss

What does the smoke smell like?
I would guess the smoke is oil, from the description of the plugs and loss of oil.

Definitely oil burning. It should be "blue" oil smoke, not "white" steam from coolant burning.

Check your PCV and do a compression test.

Definitely white smoke

Definitely oil - put tissue over exhaust let it build up and it was black.. Smelled it and definitely oil

Why its white is a mystery

Any more ideas of a route cause?

Will be doing a compression test asap

I never understood the "white or blue" smoke thing, they both look white to me, maybe I am colorblind and don't know it.

One is smoke, the other is steam
One smells like burning oil, the other smells like sweet antifreeze

Well, if you ran the oil to totally 100% empty it should be pretty obvious what's happened............when it finally runs dry you have one minute or less then permanent damage.

Engine seizing?

Still cant explain the white smoke but if it is:

I cant understand how the oil would have gone though it was filled 6 months ago and i checked it 2 months ago and all was ok.. (Denial lol)

If it is a replacement an engine + ancillaries can be cheap but cost of getting it in? Doesnt seem logical unless i get some help from a few friends & we spend a good day or 2 on it

Occasionally they don't seize just tear everything up to leak oil past pistons.

You're like my son who thinks oil checked once is good forever. I keep telling him one day that viewpoint will cost him thousands. He doesn't listen and must be shown.

A car can be perfect and suddenly break something and it does not matter if new or old car or anything else, you have to stay on top of that, walking twenty miles some dark and stormy night may be necessary to illustrate the point.

Solid white smoke could eat all oil in car in an hour, so much for your thinking.

Get compression test before you get motor, or maybe look dumb again............casual judgement sucks, even moreso when inexperienced. Did your oil light work?

Ouch harsh reality :/..

Oil/engine light never came on as i always wait for those
Lights to turn off before i even start it up so would of noticed it

Compression test will be done in a couple of days..

If all is ok on the compression test what would the likely outcome be?

If the compression test is good, then your engine is sucking in oil somewhere along the intake tract (better than through a hole in a piston).
